Footpaths, Bridleways & Byways
There are numerous footpaths and bridleways throughout the parish. A leaflet describing them is available from the Post Office in Upper Basildon. The library in Pangbourne also has information on local walking routes. The footpaths and bridleways are maintained by a group of Rights of Way volunteers. Conservation work is also carried out by The Basildon Conservation Volunteers.
Reporting a problem with a Right of Way
If you know of a problem with a footpath or bridleway in the parish, please report it to the Parish Council so that appropriate action can be taken. This can be done through Arthur Harrison, who is the Rights of Way Liaison on the Parish Council.
Alternatively, you can report the problem to West Berkshire Council using their Fault Reporting Page. This is appropriate if it is a major problem or the Right of Way is outside the Basildon Parish boundary.
