Basildon Tennis Club is the ‘village’ tennis club, and represents the village in local leagues. It exists for all villagers and provides a body of people to help and encourage those in the village who may be interested in playing tennis, either at social or competitive level. Everyone is more than welcome to join.

During the summer months there are Club Nights most Fridays; Junior Coaching on Saturdays; and Tennis/Fitness mornings on Wednesdays.

Mens, Ladies, and Mixed league matches are played all year round, both in the local Newbury LTA League and the county Berkshire League. Summer matches are usually played on weekday evenings, starting at 6.30pm, and more often than not finish at twilight in The Red Lion! A list of matches and club activities is displayed at the clubhouse and can be downloaded here.

This friendly club is always happy to welcome new members of any standard, and is equally keen to find new players wishing to play at a more competitive level. A membership form can be downloaded here or, for further information, contact the Club Chairman, Lydia Berks (01491 671690; lydia.berks@btinternet.com) or the the Club Secretary, Pauline Hall (01491 671007; Pauline@PSquaredDesign.co.uk)

We look forward to welcoming you to Basildon Tennis Club soon!
